What is the Thrive Youth Bus?
The Thrive Youth Bus is a mobile youth centre which provides a safe space for young people of secondary school age in Warwick and beyond. The bus contains a variety of gaming consoles, board games, computers, crafts, and a nail bar. The bus provides an opportunity for young people to meet, relax, and play. Plus, there is always plenty of pizza, snacks and drinks!
The bus also gives young people access to youth workers and volunteers, and opportunities to explore faith and the deeper questions of life in a relaxed way. We work with over 100 young people a week.

- We gave away 500 Milkshakes in 1 school session last summer!

- Over 300 hours of youth work a year.

- Over 2,500 young people visit a year
We want young people to know that God loves them and that church is a place of welcome and belonging. The bus will provide a safe and welcoming environment for young people to spend time and create ways for local Christians to support and serve them. The bus is also used by local schools to provide a place for mentoring and wellbeing provision. You will also see the bus at community events around the region throughout the year, so please come say hello and have a look!

How do we keep young people safe?
Thrive Youth Ministries takes safeguarding seriously. All our youth workers and volunteers are safely recruited and trained, and for our drop-in sessions, each young person has a unique sign-in identity created. Once parental consent is obtained, we can send parents an email whenever their young person comes aboard, and parents can know that they are safe on the bus.
Could you make a difference?
Can you help enrich a young person’s life by helping them regularly access a positive space and thrive?
A little goes a long way. From just £5 a month, you could contribute to a young person accessing a regular session on the bus. This would enable them to interact with their friends, meet new people and have fun. You could also enable a young person to have the opportunity of a warm pizza, snacks and a drink. Your generosity could enable more young people to access the bus by providing more sessions in more communities across Warwickshire and Coventry.

Who is making the project happen?
The bus will always have a team of youth workers and volunteers on board to welcome and chat with young people.
The bus project is a partnership between Thrive Youth Ministries and the Warwick Team of Anglican Churches, supported by the King Henry VIII Endowed Trust.
All adults on the bus are fully DBS checked, safely recruited according to safeguarding policy and associated with a local church.
