It is essential that churches and youth leaders work within good practice boundaries and do all that they can to ensure that work with young people is safe, thought through and beyond reproach. Time spent thinking through matters of health and safety as well as child protection is never time wasted and should protect both the young people and the leaders themselves.

- Youth Work Resource offers some forms and documents they use for trips, sleepovers, using social network media etc. it is important to make sure that you adapt these forms to fit your church’s policies but they are a useful guide and starting point.
- Think U Know is a fantastic site from CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre). This site offers help, advice and support to leaders on how to best support young people and children to surf the internet safely. It also offers specific links for targeted ages so that they can learn more about safe surfing.
