Thrive is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining your trust and confidence. In particular, we want you to know that we do not sell, rent or trade email lists or other personal information with other organisations for marketing purposes. This policy explains how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us and the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
By using our website, any of our services, or providing us with any personal information we will assume you are agreeing to your information being used and disclosed in the ways described in this policy.
Who we are
Thrive is an interdenominational Christian charity working to share the good news of Jesus with the next generation. We aim to get alongside churches and those involved in youth & children’s ministries, to inspire, equip and encourage them to be more effective in this work.

Types of data we collect
- Website use
It can be helpful for us to know how many people are accessing our website and which pages are most used. In order to do this we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
- Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for our email or postal communications, we collect personal information. We use that information for several reasons: to keep you up to date with Thrive news, events and prayer requests; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are up o date. We don’t rent or trade email or address lists with other organisations or businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to contact you by email. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.
- Registering or payment for Thrive events
We collect, process, store and use personal data when you book a ticket to an event including your name, address and email address together with payment information. We may also collect personal data that you give to us about other people if you register them to attend an event. In order to do this we use a service called Ticket Tailor, which is an online booking platform. For more information, please see Ticket Tailor’s privacy notice.
Access to your personal information
You have the right to:
- request a copy of the information we hold about you
- update or amend the information we hold about you if it is wrong
- change your communication preferences at any time
- ask us to remove your personal information from our records
- object to the processing of your information for marketing purposes
- raise a concern or complaint about the way in which your information is being used
