On Saturday 17th September many young people and youth leaders from at least 12 different churches in the local area gathered for the evening at Saltisford Church in Warwick for a social and spiritual time.
Some young people bravely came by themselves, met, and chatted with other likeminded Christians their own age. Whilst other young people who had been to Thrive events before came and reconnected with friends and familiar faces. It was so lovely to see Christians coming together in unity and making new church connections from different youth groups and churches. It was great to see such a willingness from young people to get stuck in and involved! There was a room full of games and activities to choose from including card games and a Jumbo Connect 4.
There was a big BBQ, Bible teaching, testimonies, prayer, and contemporary worship. It was great to have young people leading music and for them to prayerfully lead others to the Lord. It was so encouraging to seeing teenagers being young witnesses and putting their faith into action with peer-to-peer ministry! One Base attendee said it was “great to see so many young people coming together to worship the Lord!”
One of the young people Reece, who previously participated in Thrive’s ‘Youth Growing Leaders Course’ gave his testimony of Christian faith during his younger teenage years, inspiring his age group through his bold witness. Let’s continue to pray for the children and youth in our churches, schools and beyond, that they shall come to know Christ, and will develop and deepen their relationship with the Lord.

Youth Leaders bring their groups along to Basecamp to build relationships with their young people and to meet other youth groups from across Warwickshire. Thrive will organise all the content, worship, teaching, activities, and admin for the whole weekend, allowing you to do what you are called to do: to invest in your young people.
