Worship Course

worship course logoOur next course starts in January 2016 and we are now taking applications.

This is a course for anyone aged 14-18 who is a Christian and also a musician. The course helps you develop your musical skills, understand what true worship is and grow your talents to lead others in worship.

There is a mixture of opportunities for discussion, input, time alone, fun and prayer.

If you are involved in leading worship at your church or youth group (or would like to), this course is for you! The course runs for 5 sessions, including a 24 hour time away, and takes place once per month.

Here’s the breakdown of each session:

  • Session 1: Making worship central – Monday 18th January 2016 7pm
  • Session 2: Encounter God – Monday 8th February 7pm
  • Session 3: Leading worship – Monday 7th March 7pm
  • Session 4: How to play together/releasing creativity – Friday 8th evening – Saturday 9th April
  • Session 5: The authentic worshipper – Monday 9th May 7pm


The cost is £60 per person, which includes the residential and all resources. It is possible to pay instalments of £15 over 4 months, if easier.

The course leaders

‘Worship’ is based on a course written for adults by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon, from Worship Central.

This course is run by:

  • Andy Castle  – director of Thrive Youth Ministries, a local charity enabling churches to be more effective in serving young people
  • Ruth Ditch – a dance instructor and First Sunday mentor, from Christ Church, Leamington
  • Toby Harper-Lawrence – a teaching assistant and First Sunday mentor, from St Mark’s Leamington

To book your place on the course, either download the application form and post it back to us together with a cheque, or you can email us and pay online.

  • Church they attend
  • instrument(s) they play

You will then receive an email with details for how to pay online. The place is only secured once payment has been received.
